My name is Laura; I am a passionate artist born and raised in South Jersey. My journey with art began the moment I could hold a paintbrush. My love for the sea was sparked by family vacations to the Jersey shore every year. From an early age, I've been enchanted by art and the allure of marine life and the ocean. Although my academic path led me to a degree in marine biology, the pull of the canvas has always been strong, keeping my love for painting alive. Over time, I merged these passions, drawing endless inspiration from the ocean and its creatures, which are the heart of my artistic expression. I am grateful for the love and support of my family who have always encouraged me to pursue my dreams!

Today you can find me painting with acrylics and watercolors.  I enjoy exploring innovative techniques, like using salt water and salt crystals, to add texture and reveal the symbolic beauty of the sea.

My art gracefully moves between realism and abstract themes, driven by whatever ignites my spirit. The richness of my travel experiences, paddleboarding adventures and love for nature further enrich my creations.

My art is my way of translating the feeling of the ocean into something you can see and hold. Through my work, I’m dedicated to sharing its beauty and emotion while encouraging a deeper appreciation and protection of marine life.
